The twin towers before 9/11
There was a group of Islamic extremists where convicted of a bomb in a garage of the World Trade Center, that killed six and injured a thousand in February, 1993. The building itself suffer from more than 500 million dollars in damages. In just a couple days several Islamic people were arrested. The leader, Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, was at large for two years until he was arrested in Pakistan. After he was questioned his agent said his only regret was the tower did not collapse into the other, which was the original plan of the bomb.
The idea to bomb the World Trade Center was first brought up in 1996 by Kalid Sheikh Mohammed to Osama Bin Laden
ABC News reports that President Bush was warned weeks before 9/11 that American planes would be hijacked; officials claim the threats were not specific enough to act on it. They also mention that the flight schools that trained the hijackers had a suspicion of them, but didn't think anything of them because the FBI didn't think they were a real threat.

Surprise?
It is found that 9/11 should not have come as a surprise because of all of the threats to kill Americans. CNN reports that the U.S. intelligence had information in 1998 that a group of Arabs had a plan to fly a plane into the World Trade Center. The government believed that the plan was highly unlikely because of the state of the aviation programs. It is also reported that the CIA sent a message to the government just weeks before the attack. Why would bush and the government ignore this? Because it is not a believable story. How likely do you think that most people would guess the World Trade Center is going to get destroyed? close to none is my guess. On the other hand we did have the warning and signs that show it was a possibility, so yes it was a shock, but not a surprise.
The most compelling conspiracies of 9/11
NewOne Staff made an article about the most popular conspiracy theories that were made about 9/11. One of them is CNN doing a story on the assumption that Jewish people knew this was going to happen so the took off of work that day. One the statistics that is in this video is from a poll that was taken, it reveals that 1 in every 3 Americans think 9/11 was an inside job. Another video that was included was an excerpt from Loose Change that says that the calls that were made for the plane on 9/11 were fake. Some other really popular conspiracies are the building actually fell down from the crash but from bombs that where put inside the building before the crash. There is some that say they believe that the Jews where behind this Lastly air defense was asked to stand down and not the take control of the planes.
Why they won't go away
Lev Grossman explains in his article that was posted in Time Magazine that people live in two different "worlds", when it comes to what they believe about what really happened at 9/11. In world one, they believe that during the collapse there was so much pressure that the floors beneath were pushed out. In world two, they believe that the real reason for the attack was a controlled demolition, and the windows exploding are the bombs that were planted there just before the attack. Lev explains that the people in world two is much bigger then most people would believe. He also explains why many people keep on believing this stuff, one example is the video "Loose Change." It is a very convincing video. Lev especially points out the part about the crash into the pentagon. It doesn't look like you think it would after being hit by a commercial plane, except there is evidence to prove it did that Loose Change happens to leave out. Lev says Loose Change tells you, "to forget the official explanations and experts, and to trust your eyes and your brain instead." He also says the Loose Change makes you feel like you are "fighting the power, and thinking different." Lev says, "the big problem with Loose Change and with most other conspiracy theories. The more you think about them, the more you realize how much they depend on circumstantial evidence, facts without analysis or documentation, quotes taken out of context and the scattered testimony of traumatized eyewitnesses." He ends by explaining that the reason that humans believe and make conspiracies is because they think there is just never enough evidence. Lev explains that conspiracies are how Americans deal with these tragic events, and form like scar tissue.
Finding new evidence
There has been repeated attacks on the white house before 9/11. Since these attacks happened there should have not been such a surprise that someone would attack the WTC. Mentioned are many reasons why the white house is attack. One is one mans intentions was just suicide But many of the attacks seemed to be connected to Robert Pickett, who a police officer shot outside a grocery store the day before. He was and ex-revenue service employee from Indiana that was standing outside the white house two weeks after George Bush swore into presidency and fired a hand-gun. As a result he was shot by a secret service agent. After being arrested he was sentenced to 3 years in a medical center and 3 years prohibition. This would be an example of a crazy person thinking that the government is going to do us wrong. which many people might think, just not all act on that fact.
As posted in an article on BBC News, many people find it very hard to believe that 19 men with low level weapons could hijack four planes in under an hour and a half against the worlds most powerful and highest technology. This seems to make it very easy to distrust the government. But we must not feel this way about the government after all they are the ones that are running this country, plus the fact that the American population are the ones that vote for these people. They are just there to do what they are supposed too. The government has no alternate motive to terrorize this country; they are just humans too.

Conclusion
It is a given fact that there is always going to be conspiracy theories about everything. There is always going to be those people that are going to blame the government for bad things that happen to this country and we know there is always going to be two sides to every story. It is important that we look at all of the evidence before making an assumption about what who is behind the wrongdoings. Along with all of the conspiracy theories there is always new evidence that is appearing that will change some peoples opinions and along with that the conspiracies will change and transform into what the new evidence is showing. We must be able to tell the difference of what is real and what is not, which if we just use our brain a little we should be able too.
